Turtle Sketches

Here is my turtle sketches that I had done to indicate what animation the design does from moving to hiding in its shell. The black underlining of the design indicates were the ground is so the design doesn't look like it is floating around. I had also added a gradient to make the design look more professional and also to add some originality to it.

Joints

This is how I plan to do the joints in my work if I decide to include any in it. I will have them either metal textured or with carbon fibre. This will make my joints also look more effective and more presentable. It will also suit the theme more if I do it like this.

Artist Interpretation

This is my Artist Interpretation of Christian Alzmann, here I have tried to copy his design below. First I had sketched out the base outline of the shape of his mechanical creature, then I had went over it neatly using the pen tool in Photoshop to get rid of the rough outlines that it has. After I had started adding more of the inner detail to the shape of the mechanical creature. Finally, I had added colour to the design to make it finished.

Here is some work that I have done, which is the drawing of some robot figures in an artists style. I found this very useful as it had helped me to see how I should go about doing this design and also, how I can replicate textures in real life.

Bird Photoshop Work

This is my Photoshop work of an idea I had originally came up with. I had made a bird that was going to look mechanical and have a metal cog at the end of its tail. Its wings were going to be attached by a webbing feature and have antennas at the top of its upper head.

Mood board

This is the mood board I did on what types of reference materials from images I thought I needed to help me design my initial idea. I had saw the use of bolts, nut and spheres.

Here is some of the sketches I did of possible design ideas that I may use in my final piece. Personally, I prefer the 10th design as I like the idea of a mechanical robot that is based off of a turtle.
